Do Your Part for the Environment at Secret Woods Nature Center
Fall is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to get out and enjoy nature as the summer heat wanes. One great spot to frequent for exploring is Secret Woods Nature Center, especially if you have little ones who love the great outdoors. The nature center boasts all sorts of fun programming to teach environmental education and explore local habitats for all ages. If you want to explore the grounds, there’s a butterfly garden and lots of beautiful trails for hiking.
Looking to give back and meet other eco-conscious locals? Every second Saturday of the month the nature center recruits volunteers to help remove invasive species and clean up the sprawling land and trails the center is situated on. The official name is Ecoaction Day, you can visit their site to learn more about the next event. These are also a great way to learn about local flora and fauna from the experts in charge!
